I loved the clean and cozy vibe of the place! The location was spot on, just a short walk to all the main attractions. The kitchen and lounge were well-equipped, making it super easy to chill and grab a snack. Plus, having plenty of showers was a lifesaver—no waiting in line at all!
I did have a few annoyances. The lighting was pretty dim, which made it hard for this tired traveler to see at times. The glass door to the patio felt sketchy to leave open, and I couldn’t shake the weird vibe from the quirky devices buzzing in the hall. Not exactly ideal for a peaceful stay!

The bed felt way too soft, making it hard to get comfortable. Plus, the room was cramped, and I struggled with the tiny table.

I was really impressed with the value for my money, as the room was clean, comfortable, and even had provisions for working. The location is ideal, right in front of a beautiful church, and the lack of staff on-site didn’t detract from my overall experience.
Morning meal could use more variety in options.

Staying in the beautiful room was a real letdown. Constant cigarette smoke seeped through the windows, making it feel stuffy and uncomfortable. I had to keep the blinds shut for some privacy—definitely not worth the price!

our stay at Bendigo Backpackers was absolutely amazing. It far exceeded our expectations, especially compared to our previous stay in this city. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our anniversary.

The hostel had good facilities, including a clean and well-equipped kitchen. The addition of another shower was a welcome improvement. The location was also convenient, with just a short walk to the city center. Another advantage was the relaxed and friendly atmosphere among the guests.
When I arrived, there was nobody to check me in and no response on the provided contact numbers. I had to rely on another guest to let me in and find a bed for me to sleep in.

I had a fantastic stay at Backpackers in Bendigo. the hostel was converted into a beautiful space, with comfortable and clean areas to enjoy. the bed was cozy, the linen fresh and fragrant, and the towels soft. the kitchen facilities were great, and there was even a lovely outdoor courtyard. I appreciated the convenience of door codes instead of keys. the hostel also had driveway spaces for early-arriving cars. Michelle and her partner were welcoming hosts, providing helpful recommendations. This was the perfect environment for me and my partner to relax and reconnect. Thank you, Michelle, for creating such a wonderful space!
Cannot find any fault 😊.
